The Impact on Bedford Public Library Users of Executive Order Reducing the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)

On Friday, March 14, the White House issued Executive Order 14238 that calls for the elimination of the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) "to the maximum extent consistent with applicable law."

On Monday, March 31, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) put all of its approximately 75-employee workforce on paid administrative leave.

We are starting to receive questions about what this means for the Bedford Public Library.  To find more information, please see our full statement.
