We're challenging teens and adults to start 2026 off with a commitment to read! The first 70 Bedford Public Library cardholders (ages 12 and up) to read a book or graphic novel or listen to an audiobook for at least 15 minutes a day for a total of 30 days between January 11 and February 13 will earn a limited edition Winter Reading Challenge mug!
You can track your reading online through Beanstack, or use the Beanstack Tracker app. Prefer an analog option? Stop by the Reference Desk to pick up a paper log.
Starting on January 11, check off each day that you read a book or graphic novel or listen to an audiobook for at least 15 minutes. When you have checked off 30 days (there are a few extra days built in, just in case you need to miss one), bring your completed calendar to the Reference Desk to claim your mug!
To get things started, we're hosting a Winter Reading Challenge Kickoff event for Bedford cardholders on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Stop in and enjoy some cookies and cocoa, crafts, games, and fun activities. We can even get you set up to start the Challenge on the spot. See you there!
