A Wave of Thanks!

We wanted to give a huge thank you to all those who supported and participated in our 2022 Children's Summer Reading program! Thank you!

To our generous sponsors and donors: Bedford Rotary Club, Friends of Bedford Library, Pizza Bella, Amherst Karate Studio, Hayward's Ice Cream and Cactus Jack's Restaurants, thank you for your support of our endeavor to keep kids reading over the summer. We had fabulous prizes and parties this year thanks to you!

Summer Drawing Programs

Get creative with us this summer!
We'll be hosting several ocean themed drawing programs throughout the summer. Register for one or register for all of them, it's up to you!

For ages 6-9, Miss Lee Ann will be offering Drawing Under the Sea. She'll guide you through the steps to draw a different ocean creature in each program!

Books to Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Join us in celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month by checking out one of these great reads. Try a moving memoir, a fascinating history, or a stirring novel. These books are not a comprehensive representation of the Asian American experience, but instead a sample of the diverse stories being told by AAPI authors.

A Busy Month of May at the Bedford Public Library!

Get out your calendar and start marking, because we have a plethora of great events coming up this May at the Bedford Public Library.

The month opens with our regularly scheduled Tech at the Library class on the first Wednesday. On May 4th we'll be talking about LinkedIn Learning, a valuable online resource available Bedford Public Library card holderss with thousands of video tutorials on business, technology and design.

Enjoy the first Storywalk of the year!

Spring is back and so is the Storywalk at Bedford Village Common!

Enjoy the nice weather by taking a walk on the Common and reading The Friend Ship by Kat Yeh.

As you stroll through the common, you’ll see pages of the story installed next to the path. Page 1 is right after the arch where you enter the common and the story will take you over the bridge, around the gazebo, and back over the bridge to end back near the arch. All pages are numbered and within sight so you’ll know where to head next.
