Spring is back and so is the Storywalk at Bedford Village Common!
Enjoy the nice weather by taking a walk on the Common and reading The Friend Ship by Kat Yeh.
As you stroll through the common, you’ll see pages of the story installed next to the path. Page 1 is right after the arch where you enter the common and the story will take you over the bridge, around the gazebo, and back over the bridge to end back near the arch. All pages are numbered and within sight so you’ll know where to head next.
This month's make and take craft is a straw rocket! Kits will be available in the Children's Room or via Lower Level curbside until supplies last. Here's Miss Carla to show you how to make it:

Every year, the American Library Association announces the Youth Media Award winners for excellence in children’s literature. An impressive slate of winners and honors were announced on Monday. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners!

This winter we strongly encourage face masks in the library for everyone over 2 years old, regardless of vaccination status. The Library Board of Trustees have decided that face coverings should be strongly encouraged when the spread of Covid-19 is at substantial transmission levels in Hillsborough County as identified by the CDC.

It’s that time of year! Now through November 30 voting is now open for the Ladybug Book Award! Kids up to 3rd grade can vote on their favorite picture books from this year’s nominees. Our display of nominees is located just outside the Children’s Room and our Ladybug ballot box is located by the Children’s Room desk. Stop by to see which books are on the list and to cast your vote for your favorite!
